EFCON Water specialises in the development and production of stationary samplers and the integration of these samplers in wastewater treatment plants and has more than 25 years of experience in this industry. We work mainly in Europe but can also transport outside European borders.

Customer is key

Tell us what you need most in your application. This is how previous changes have been made to our product. For example, to meet customer demand for strong and chemically resistant enclosures, we introduced a new production process for thermoplastic enclosures, which has now become a standard in the market. We will be happy to see how we can also meet your requirements.

In-house production

Since March 2021, EFCON Water B.V. has been part of Indutrade, which makes us both flexible and stable. All production is handled in-house in Meerkerk. This makes customised solutions possible more often, and delivery times are also fast and guaranteed.

What does EFCON Water do?

EFCON Water develops and manufactures robust wastewater sampling cabinets (samplers). Our sampling cabinets enable you to collect representative wastewater samples that comply with applicable standards and regulations. In this way, we help water authorities, laboratories and industrial companies meet their legal obligations while contributing to responsible water management.

Who are EFCON samplers intended for?

Our samplers are used by water authorities, water laboratories and companies across a wide range of industries, including the food industry, chemical industry, logistics and waste processing. In short, wherever wastewater is discharged, an EFCON sampler may be required.

What makes EFCON samplers different from other brands?

EFCON samplers are known for their robust thermoplastic housing, long service life and short delivery times. Because we manufacture our products in the Netherlands, we are highly flexible when it comes to custom solutions. We also consciously choose sustainable solutions, such as recycled materials and cooling units that use environmentally friendly refrigerants.

When is my company required to use a sampler?

Your company is required to use a sampler if it is classified as a measuring company. This applies when you discharge more than 1,000 pollution units, discharge highly polluted wastewater, have variable wastewater discharges, or when there is an unrealistic ratio between water intake and wastewater discharge. A sampler may also be required to comply with permit requirements or due to a high environmental impact.

What is a measuring company?

A measuring company is an organization that is legally required to sample and analyze its wastewater on a daily basis. This typically applies to companies that generate large volumes of wastewater or discharge highly polluted wastewater.

How is EFCON responding to the legislative changes in 2026?

From 2026, the rules for wastewater levies will change. The calculations will become more company-specific, which means that more companies may be classified as measuring companies. EFCON is therefore developing sustainable, future-proof enclosures and keeping customers informed about these changes.

Are EFCON samplers PFAS-free?

Yes. The components in our sampling enclosures that come into contact with the wastewater have been tested by Eurofins Laboratory and verified to be PFAS-free. This makes our samplers fully suitable for current and future use in environmentally critical applications.

Why is EFCON developing a new sampling enclosure?

Because legislation is changing and sustainability is becoming increasingly important. The new enclosure features a propane-based cooling unit and a modular design. This ensures you are prepared for the future while contributing to a more sustainable water management chain.

How sustainable are EFCON enclosures?

Our enclosures are made from double-walled thermoplastic material and are fully recyclable. Their robust construction ensures a long service life, even in demanding outdoor environments.
